Who do I talk to about my NOMAD Swim Team bill? A: Contact Judy.
Who are the Managers/Owners of NOMAD Aquatics & Fitness? A: Myra and Steve Billings.
Does your facility have anything other than pools in it? A: Yes! NOMAD has 2 pools, a tanning bed, a Pro Shop, a hair salon, racquetball courts, Child Watch (only for members), cardio equipment, a weight room, Group Exercise classes, personal training, and massage therapy. We have all you need in 1 stop!
Is NOMAD Aquatics & Fitness family owned and run? A: Yes, it is. The facility is owned by the Billings family and is composed of 5+ family members!
Do I have to sign a contract? A: Yes, you do. You also have to provide drafting information, as well.
What type of swim lessons do you offer? A: We offer group lessons, private lessons and semi-private lessons. Contact Jenny about all swim lessons.
Who do I contact about the tanning beds? A: Contact Jenny.
Do you have activities for Senior Citizens? A: We do! We offer Water Aerobics, Silver Sneakers, Massage Therapy, Arthritis Therapy, and discounts for Senior individuals and couples! For more information, see the front desk. 704-949-1555.
Do you have activities for kids? A: Yes! We have NOMAD's Cool & Crafty Summer Camp, swim lessons, Kung-fu, Child Watch, Swim Team and other programs in the making, as well.
Do I have to give you drafting information to join your facility? A: Yes, you do. In order to provide you with the best service, we must track all payments through our drafting system.
Are you hiring? A: We are always looking for responsible, experienced and friendly candidates for future job openings. If you would like us to have your resume on file, feel free to drop one off at our front desk or ask for an application.
I am interested in having my child join NOMAD Swim Team. Where do I begin? A: If you want to join NOMAD Swim Team, feel free to come by NOMAD Monday - Thursday before 5:00pm for a free evaluation and information packet. Once a child is placed into their appropriate group, we can then provide you with practice days and times. If you want to register your child for the fall, please attend our sign-ups at NOMAD at the end of August!
When is the Pro Shop open? A: Anyone at the Front Desk can take you back to the Pro Shop, so, it is open all the time!
Are you ever going to build an outdoor pool? A: We have definitely thought about it! We hope to - one day!
Is it true that you are home to THE Coach Billings? A: Yes, he is all ours! He and his undefeated record are very prominent features here at NOMAD. Come see why our swimmers love "Coach" so much!
Are the pools always available for open swim? A: The competition pool is open as long as the facility is open to the public and its members. Keep in mind though that during swim team practice, the pool will be busy, but we will keep lanes 1 and 10 open for members. The warm pool will be closed from 6pm-7:15pm Monday thru Thursday for our younger swim teams to utilize that pool. If the facility is going to be closed for special events, our members will be notified via email and with posted notices around the facility.
Membership FAQ's
Who do I contact about canceling my membership to the facility? A: Mandy or Leigh in the front office. You can reach both of them at 704-949-1555 or via email at lspidel@nomadaquatics.com or mandy@nomadaquatics.com To cancel your membership, we must have a 30 day written notice of your cancellation with your reason for cancelling. Depending on your reason, you may or may not be subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
I know I have to sign a contract, but what kind? A: Yes, you do have to sign a contract. All memberships are a one-year commitment. You may also choose to sign a 2 year commitment, as well.
Do I have to give you drafting information to join your facility? A: Yes, you do, unless you pay for 6 months or more up front. In order to provide you with the best service, we must track all payments through our drafting system.
I am interested in becoming a member of your facility. How much does a membership cost? A: Well, that depends. They range from $40 a month to $85 a month. We offer 3 different types of memberships at NOMAD: Full Facility, Swim Only and Fitness & Racquetball Only. Please see our membership packet for the price list and more details. Please note, we do not pro-rate our memberships for any reason (For example: wanting a different rate because you only use our weight room, not our racquetball courts, etc.).
How do I check-in when I come to use the Nomad facility? A: Each member over 15 years old will be issued a bar code. You will need to scan in at the front office each time you visit the facility. We also take member's pictures so our front office staff can verify the person checking in is who the bar code is assigned to.
I will be traveling for a month and I don't want to be charged for the facility, how can I stop my draft for that month? A: Nomad permits members to put their memberships on hold for up to 3-months per year. In order to put your membership on hold, you will need to contact Mandy or Leigh and complete a written hold request.
I have a membership, but I have not been using the facility. Can't you just not charge me for the month I did not use the facility? A: Unless you cancel your membership or put your membership on hold, you will be charged the monthly fee regardless of how often you visited the facility that month.
